Spring Fever

We finally got to get out of the house, and it was well overdue.  Chloe has been getting cabin fever, and if she goes outside, she is so thrilled.  We decided to get the four wheelers out last weekend, and go for a ride.  Well we had to get Chloe a helmet, legally, but it is big enough it will probably last for a few more years.  We started out the trip and Chloe wanted to wear my gloves.  Okay.  Then she wanted to wear my goggles, probably because they were pink, she wanted nothing to do with her dad's.  She wanted to drink out of the water the half of the time, and talk the other half of the time.  So we stopped for a lot of breaks, so she get hydrated and say whatever she wanted.  She was so cute, she had to be careful though, if a good gust of wind caught the brim of her helmet she would nearly fall over.  We had so much fun going for our first ride of the year.

Cinderella

So lately I have toyed with the idea of potty training.  If you know Chloe, you know that she loves princesses, and all things girly, I have no idea where she gets it, or what to do with her.  Anyway, so I bought some princess pull-ups and when we got home and put Chloe in a pair, she wanted to hold the Cinderella pull-up, and when I walked back in the room, she had climbed in my bed, and tucked Cinderella in, and said "watch Cinderella."  It was so funny, because she was so careful that Cinderella could see the TV, and that we didn't cover up her eyes with the blanket.  The good news is that I don't need to buy dolls anymore, just character pull-ups.

Slave Labor

This is what happens when aunt Megan babysits, I put the kids to work.  Allison was helping me sweep, and this fun game of spin while holding the broom was created.  I love this picture, because look at how happy all the kids are.  In response to Melanie's post, sometimes Matthew and Chloe do get along, but only when they have the length of a broom between them!

Lipstick!

Chloe got some chapstick for Christmas, but she calls it lipstick.  One day driving home, she said, "Mom, look at me, look at me."  This is what I saw.  Luckily she is strapped into her car seat, and the bright pink lipstick didn't end up anywhere else in the car.  She is all girl, and I'm afraid I don't know what to do with that.  Oh, and yes, Amber, I am still alive.

Number 2!

Well this was the big number 2. My little Chloe turned 2 yesterday. But Friday night Melanie was babysitting Chloe while we went to a Christmas party. When we picked Chloe up, Mel said that she put herself to sleep in Matthews big boy bed all by herself. So Michael and I decided that maybe it was time to convert her crib to a big girl bed. That was the first thing we did on the big day. Don't get me started on trying to find the right screw in this entire town to convert the bed. So here is Chloe sleeping in the bed for the first time.
Then Melanie came over to set up THE CAKE. Isn't it awesome? She did such a good job. Everyone loved it, and it was the hit of the night. That is my cutest niece Allison smiling so big by the cake.
Here is the birthday girl. She is holding a Barbie, wearing new high heels, glasses, jewelry, and fairy dress. She was pretty ornery opening presents, because we kept taking away the toys and trying to get her to open new ones. But after we let her play with her new toys, she was a lot happier. Then she finished off the night in her big girl bed. When did my daughter turn two? She is such a big girl.

Halloween

I'm finally getting around to posting my Halloween pictures. This was Chloe's first year trick-or-treating (because she was so sick with her skin peeling off of her that we didn't go last year). As you can tell from the first picture, she was not a huge fan of her costume. But if we took of her hood, she would tolerate it. Then she found out she got candy, and that is when it got really fun. We partied with the Glines family, visited G & G Mansfield, GG & GG Bergquist, and GG Mansfield, and visited the rec. center. It was so much fun. I think that I had more fun showing off Chloe, than she had trick-or-treating. She is getting even more fun the older she gets!

Girls Night In!

As many of you may already know, Chloe likes Spongebob, more like she is obsessed with him! Well, when dad works nights, Chloe hops up in dad's spot on the bed, takes the pillow, tucks in her animals and says "Spongebob?" We usually get to read stories, and go to sleep in a quiet room. But when dad is away, I have a hard time telling that face no. Have you ever tried?
